Is there anyway to set netmail to use real name, and still use aliases
in echomail, or even specify which netmail can use alias or not?

    Yes,
The netmail real name vs alias setting is in the networking, FidoNet
    settings.
If you want to set the real name vs alias option for echos you would
need to do this in message areas, group name, subboard options,
    subboardname, Toggle options.
If you want to change it for all areas in a group set Toggle options to
allow the group you are changing to be the template for all gareas in
that group and then apply options to all groups after you are finished adjusting the settings.
