    At SpaceXs Starbase production site, teams are progressing multiple Starship vehicles through the Production Site facilities, preparing them for upcoming cryogenic testing and beyond while expanding capacity for higher flight
    rates.





    Inside Mega Bay 2, Ship 42 (Flight 15) is being readied for its cryogenic campaign after all barrel sections were stacked.

    Forward flaps are already installed on the vehicle, which had been positioned inside the Starfactory earlier in the process, while the aft flaps remain to be fitted.

    One aft flap was observed staged behind the ship, allowing clear views for
    NSF photographer Ceaser G.

    Limited sightlines through the bay doors reveal only a few patches of missing thermal protection system tiles on the lower sections. This marks a notable improvement over Block 2 vehicles, which often left the Starfactory with extensive tile gaps due to extensive experimental testing. Block 3 ships are now emerging with largely complete tiling.

    In Mega Bay 1, work on Booster 22, the likely flight partner for Ship 42 on Flight 15, reached a key milestone as the final methane barrel section was installed.

    With the methane tank complete, teams rolled the liquid oxygen installation jig out from the Starfactory to transfer the methane tank from the bridge cranes and stack it onto the liquid oxygen tank, completing the primary structure of a fully stacked booster.

    Post-stacking work continues with the installation of autogenous pressurization pipes for both the liquid oxygen and methane tanks. These systems maintain tank pressure by routing combustion products from the Raptor engines.

    Additional internal piping must still be connected, requiring workers to
    enter the booster through access hatches. Electrical systems undergo similar integration.

    Once complete, a low-pressure leak check is performed inside the bay to identify and address issues before the vehicle departs, though such checks have not always caught every problem, as seen with earlier boosters.     Booster Stand 1 has received a primer coat, giving it a temporary white appearance that will likely be finished in black to match the other stands used for ships and boosters.

    With additional boosters in production at Starbase and the prospect of more frequent catch operations, demand for these stands is rising.

    One booster transport stand has already been shipped to the Cape,
    underscoring the need for expanded logistics as Pad 1 is expected to return
    to service next year.

    Inside the Starfactory, Ship 43 (Flight 16) has been rotated to face its non-heat-shield side toward the windows as it prepares for rollout to Mega
    Bay 2. The first clear signal of that move will be the PEZ dispenser transferring to the bay, where it will be placed on a turntable for the nosecone to be lifted and welded in place before the remaining sections are stacked.

    Nearby, a nosecone in the new tile installation station has nearly completed pin installation. The adjacent station is dedicated to automated tile placement on nosecones, reducing the labor-intensive precision work required for both pins and thermal protection system tiles.

    This automation is intended to boost long-term ship output and keep the Gigabay supplied with vehicles for stacking.

    Counting the nosecones currently visible, the next most complete example
    after Ship 43 could be Ship 44, with the unit in the pin station potentially Ship 45. These could be classed as the vehicles for Flight 17 and 18 respectively, although by this time SpaceX may have successfully caught a
    Ship and re-added it to the manifest for reuse.

    A separate nosecone already fitted with a few white tiles appears to be a test article rather than flight hardware; definitive identification will come when the sections roll out, and any labels become visible.

    To handle the growing backlog of nosecones and unseen booster hardware inside the Starfactory, construction of the Gigabay continues. Roof struts are now being installed on the back side. As exterior work nears completion, the
    tower cranes will be dismantled and the outer walls and panels finished. The structure will then be fitted with bridge cranes capable of lifting barrel sections, nosecones, and fully stacked vehicles, along with turntables and workstations.

    Bridge cranes will place sections onto turntables for welding, then transfer completed vehicles to work stands for further processing, mirroring current operations in the Mega Bays but on a much larger scale. The additional space will accommodate more turntables, taller vehicles, and extra stations, enabling simultaneous work for cryogenic tests, static fires, or flight preparations.

    Together, Mega Bay 1, Mega Bay 2, the Starfactory, and the advancing Gigabay form an integrated production pipeline that is already advancing Ships 42 and 43, Booster 22, and subsequent nosecones, positioning Starbase for sustained higher-cadence operations.
